How the numbers work
Capacity per sprint equals team size times sprint length in weeks times velocity per developer per week. A 5 dev team running 2 week sprints at 8 points per dev per week yields 80 points per sprint.
Sprint split uses a greedy fit: stories drop into the current sprint until adding the next one would blow capacity, then a new sprint starts. It does not reorder, so leave your backlog in the order you want it tackled.
Burndown is a straight line from total points down to zero across the planned sprint days, at 5 working days per week. Real burndowns wobble. A clean line is what teams should aim to hover around.
