Story Point Estimator

Pick a Fibonacci card to estimate the story you are looking at, see what stories typically belong at that point value, and build a backlog with totals. Use it solo when you do not have your team in the room, or paste estimates in your async planning thread.

Why anchored estimation works better than guessing

Cards alone tempt teams to debate numbers. Anchor stories ground the conversation in the kind of work each value usually represents on your team. The defaults shown here are generic. Replace them with two or three stories from your own sprints that everyone agrees were truly a 3 or a 5 or an 8, and the conversation stops being abstract.

One rule that holds across teams: if a story is past 13 points, it is almost always a sign you need to slice it, not estimate it. Use the 21 card as a "slice this before sprint planning" signal.
